Welcome to the Glenfield Bridge Club website.

 

We play bridge at the Glenfield Memorial Hall every Wednesday and at St Bartholomew’s church hall at Kirby Muxloe every Saturday.  Please arrive by 710pm at both venues to allow play to commence at 715pm.  If you need a partner for Wednesday please phone Dennis Bradley on 0116 2871145.  Partners for Saturday can be found by phoning Nick Daniels on 07765800125

Winners of the duplicate on Saturday 4th October 2008 were Gary Duddle & Bharat Thakrar (North/South) and Brenda Coltman & Val Scott (East/West).  Gary & Bharat take the lead for the highest percentage of October; Brenda & Val take the lead for the highest increase on average percentage for October.  Follow the links for the results, travellers and personal score cards.

The first round of league matches were completed on Wednesday 24th September 2008.  Glenfield A beat Westcotes 7-5.  The best Butler analysis was shared by Bob Parker & Gerry Bucciero and Peter Neville & Tim Glover.  Glenfield B lost to Golf 9-3.  The best Butler analysis was achieved by Nick Daniels & Tony North.  Glenfield C lost to Grantham B 10-2.  The best Butler analysis was achieved by Ian Hubbard & Eddie Blount.

Please note the following changes to the C team.  On 8th October 2008, Margaret Glover & Peter Tyers replace Leslie Neville & Ken Clayton.  On 7th January 2009 Leslie Neville & Ken Clayton replace Judith Taylor & Mary Bradley.  Click here for the full programme.  This will be updated on a regular basis as captains/players notify me of changes.  Please help your captains to plan by providing details of non-availability as far as advance as possible as it can be very difficult and time-consuming to try to make last minute alterations.  Also please note the number of pairs in the pool for selection for the C team.  The support of these pairs on club nights when they are not selected would be greatly appreciated both by the committee and by those pairs who choose not to play in the teams.
